Beowulf Kadmus joins your party at the beginning of the quest for Cloud Strife when you go off to battle th brigands in the Goland Coal City. Beowulf is almost as powerful as Orlandu and makes an excellent addition to your party. His physical attack strength is high, and his Magic Sword abilities come in handy for their variety of draining and immoblization spells.
It would be a good idea to keep Ether potions on hand or save enough MP to perform an Aspel MP drain attack so that Beowulf doesn’t run out of MP, or you will find yourself deprived of his core skills. Beowulf is particularly helpful in the Deep Dungeon, where his ability to perform Sleep and Don’t Act spells gives your party time to treasure-hunt and search for those hidden doorways!
