Yesterday during a Tokyo press conference, Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square Enix, answered some questions regarding the company’s online plans for Final Fantasy.
According to Sponichi, the following is what Wada had to say concerning the Final Fantasy XIV title: “The Final Fantasy brand has been greatly damaged.”
It appears that Square Enix has been working hard for several months now to incorporate fixes for FFXIV. Wada states, “We’ll continue with our reform work, which basically amounts to fully redoing the game, and hope to revive the FFXIV that should have been released.”
The report that Sponichi conducted from the press conference did not specify whether or not the PlayStation 3 version of the game was discussed. Therefore, it is probably safe to assume then, that the PS3 version is still a go.
